Wonderland Week

Tea Parties, Caucus Races and their favorite, the climbing tree. Wonderland is our week 6 summer camp theme and we are off to great start. Today we matched wooden numbers to playing cards, we set our table for tea and made paper crowns with many hearts.
I love these kiddos~ full of wonder and wonder-full.

Dinosaurs ROAR!

Dinosaurs never fail to entertain preschoolers!  This past week we made clay dinosaurs, painted dinosaur tracks, even guessed the names of dinosaurs we could not see that were hidden in our mystery bag!

Some of us followed instructions on how to draw our own dinosaurs (Lucas made this beauty of a long neck dinosaur above).

Mostly we enjoyed pretending to BE dinosaurs! We learned what made the dinosaurs either carnivores or herbivores and we classified them into groups.  This lead to a discussion about what we as humans eat and why.  I feel a lesson about nutrition being cooked up for the fall curriculum! Pun intended :)
The week ahead will bring us back to a time long, long ago....once upon a time.
See you all then!
In PEACE,
Jennifer
